The 16-time Uganda Premier League champions Villa Jogoo Salongo has gone ahead to seek permission from the management of Mutesa 11 stadium so that they host their games from the stadium come the coming season 2020-21.

Last season, sports club villa hosted its games from Mandela National stadium but of recent the government in conjunction with the ministry of health declared the Nelson Mandela National stadium a treatment center for the covid-19 patients and this left sports club villa without a home to host their games for the coming league season.

“As you know sports club Villa has always hosted its games at Mandela National stadium in Namboole, the stadium has been declared a covid-19 treatment center leaving us without a home ground” Part of the statement read on the press release.
