Striker Mahadi Kayondo Joins Romanian Top Tier Club

Ugandan striker Mahadi Kayondo has completed his move to Romanian top tier club Asociatia Club Sportiv Ghiroda from ACS Poli Timișoara

The 22-year old, under the management of former Uganda Cranes player Andrew Eugene Sepuya joins Asociatia Club Sportiv Ghiroda on a two-year deal.

After completing his transfer, the promising striker felt optimistic about helping the club achieve it’s objectives and taking the club to greater heights.

“My main anticipation at my new club ACS Ghiroda is to help the club to help the club to high heights in line with the objectives and goals. As it is the main objective as to why the club trusted me to join them and as a player I am looking forward to help the club as much as I can in and outside the field,” Kayondo told Kawowo Sports.

Kayondo had previously played for FUFA Big League side Ndejje University Football Club before joining Asociația Club Sportiv (ACS) Poli Timișoara in 2018.

He is the third Ugandan to play in Romania after Eugine Sepuya and William Kizito Luwagga (Previously at Clubul Sportiv Municipal (CSM) Politehnica Lași).
