Attacking midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba is the latest player to call it quits at 13-time Uganda Premier League Champions, KCCA Football Club.
His departure was confirmed by the club’s Public Relations Officer Magero Moses Mwanje during the weekly KCCA TV show on Sanyuka TV on Sunday evening.
The 2017 FUFA player of the year has been the club’s long serving player having joined the club in 2015.
For the five years he has been at Lugogo, he managed to win three league titles, two Uganda Cups, a couple of Super Cups and the Pilsner Super Eight.
He was part of the KCCA FC squad that reached the group stages of Caf Champions League and Confederations Cup tournaments.
He is the ninth player to leave the Kasassiro Boys after Erisa Ssekisambu, Jackson Nunda (URA), Saddam Juma, Tom Ikara (Police), Eric Ssenjobe (Police), Jamil Malyamungu, Mike Mutyaba (retired) and Mustafa Kizza (Montreal Impact).
He leaves at a time when the Lugogo outfits confirmed their 9th signing in Juma Balinya after bagging earlier additions in Bright Anukani (on loan from Proline), Samson Kigozi (Police), Brian Aheebwa (Mbarara City), Denis Iguma (Free Agent), Stefano Mazzengo Loro (Free Agent), Charles Lwanga (SC Villa) Ashraf Mugume (Vipers SC) and Dominic Ayella who graduated from the Junior side.
