The Member of Parliament for Kasanda South, Simeo Nsubuga has been defeated in the National Resistance Movement party primary elections for the flagbearer of his constituency.
According to the final results declared by the results declared by the Kasanda District NRM election officer, Namuddu Susan, Simeo was defeated by 162 vote by his opponent Muhumuza Michael who garnered 11,173 votes against the former’s 11,011 votes.
Muhumuza was declared the winner with the narrow margin of 50.4% against Simeo’s 49.6%.
Simeo Nsubuga had this week complained of being fought by the powerful people in Government, whom he fell short of naming.
