Dr Odoi who is currently stationed in Bushenyi district said the voting exercise there was largely peaceful so far.

The same he said was the case in in other districts such as Ntungamo where violence had been projected.

“In Bushenyi, the elections are peaceful and in Ntungamo people are voting excitedly; I think anxiety is what will kill them not that they are being beaten,” he said.

Earlier in the day, Odoi suspended elections for both constituency and Woman MP in Mawogola County North due to violence.

The ruling party his holding its parliamentary primary elections at 64740 polling stations across 151 district around the country.
