President Museveni tips NRM leaders, voters on highly charged party primary elections

President Yoweri Museveni has warned NRM leaders to observe ministry of health guidelines on Covid-19 ahead of the highly anticipated party primaries on Friday.

President Museveni issued a statement as chairman of the party highlighting respect to the question of registers and eligibility to vote. He also urged members to observe SOPs.

Museveni in a message he posted on his social media accounts noted: “Ahead of our @NRMOnline parliamentary party primaries tomorrow, this is my guidance in respect to the question of registers and eligibility to vote.”

The President stated: “I urge all party members to ensure they conduct this exercise lawfully, in an orderly manner and observe SOPs.”
