Six time Uganda Premier League winners Express Football Club has reunited with midfielder Yaya Mahad Kakooza.

Kakooza returns to the Wankulukuku outfit on a two-year contract having featured for relegated Proline FC last season.

He had previously played for the Red Eagles before joining rivals Sports Club Villa in 2017 where he only featured for one season.

Kakooza also had stints with Tooro United Football Club and was linked to a move in Poland before his anticipated move to Legia Warsaw hit a dead end.

“Firstly, I am a fan of this great club, my dad too so when the opportunity presented it’s self I couldn’t turn it down. I am therefore glad and proud to be at a club where I am familiar with the surroundings,” Kakooza noted after putting ink to paper.

He becomes the second player to make an Express U-turn after robust winger Godfrey Lwesibawa.

Other new signings at Wankulukuku include Denis Otim, Crispus Kusiima, Abel Eturude, Mustafa Kiragga, Richard Bbosa and Baker Sakah.

The Red Eagles are also said to have finalized talks with striker Charles Musiige, Faisal Ssekyanzi, Enoch Walusimbi among others.
