Several Ugandan professional players trading their fare abroad were in action for their respective clubs over the weekend. Some scored, assisted, while others were nowhere to be seen on match-day squads for the clubs.

In Estonia, Uganda Cranes striker Edrisa Lubega Torres was on target as his Paide Linnameskond as they overcame JK Tammeka Tartu with a 3-1 victory in the Estonian Meistriliiga.

In Egypt, Derrick Nsibambi scored his second successive goal in Smouha Sports Club’s 3-0 win over Tanta SC in the Egypt Premier League at the Alexandria Stadium.

Nsibambi also assisted Sherif Reda for the opener before getting off the mark in the 43rd minute.

Still in Egypt, Allan Kyambadde came on as a first half substitute as his club El Gouna registered a 2-0 commanding victory over Al Mokawloon at El Gouna Stadium. Both goals coming from Walter Bwalya.

In Sweden, defender Ronald Mukiibi played full time and grabbed an assist as OFK Ostersunds defeated Falkenberg 2-1 in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Another Ugandan player and teammate Isaak Ssewankambo was on suspension after accumulating four yellow cards and look will turn up for their next league game.

In South Africa, goalkeeper Denis Onyango Masinde was nowhere to be seen on the match-day squad as Mamelodi Sundowns lost 1-0 to Baroka Swallows in the other Absa Premier Super league game.

Midfielder Moses Waiswa also missed Super Sport United’s 2-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates due to an injury.

In Denmark, Robert Kakeeto played the last 27 minutes as his AaB Aalborg rallied from behind to stun Randers FC 4-3 in a build-up match while Moses Opondo featured for the first 45 minutes as Odense Boldklud lost 2-1 to AC Horsens in a Pre-season friendly.

Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru played for Wycombe Wanderers as they lost 5-2 to English Premier League side Aston Villa in a friendly game while defender Elvis Bwomono played 77 minutes in Southend FC’s 3-0 loss to Championship side Millwall in the other pre-season match.

In the Major League Soccer, midfielder Mike Azira came on as a second half substitute and played the last Six minutes as his side Chicago Fire lost 3-1 to New York City FC in the United States of America.

In France, Dereck Kutesa started and featured for 60 minutes as his Reims FC side fell 1-0 to Lille FC in the French Ligue 1.

In Israel, Kizito William Luwagga scored the winner as Hapoel Kfar Saba edged past Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-1 while Fahad Bayo made his debut for Ashdod FC as they lost 2-0 away from home to Ironi Kiryat Shmona.
