The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has confirmed two more cases of Covid19 at one of its offices.
The Authority revealed Monday morning that the new cases were confirmed at its Jinja offices which is located on Plot 68-76 Nile Crescent road.
The cases are part of the 107 samples taken on Wednesday 26th August 2020.
As such UNRA says this office will be temporarily closed from today (31th August) to Thursday 03rd September 2020 to facilitate contract tracing exercise and allow sufficient safety precautions including disinfection of the premises.
UNRA like several other government and private bodies recently undertook to test its staff for COVID-19 to detect and prevent the spread of the virus.
“Upon confirmation of the confirmed cases, Management, together with the Ministry of Health embark on the respective incident management protocols and the much needed health support system that includes psychosocial services to our affected members of staff under medical care,” UNRA said in a statement.
