Uganda Premier League defending champions Vipers Sports Club have now shifted attention to free agent striker Joel Madondo, ChimpReports understands.
Madondo is currently a free agent following his mutual departure from Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.
The Venoms are believed to be hunting for his signature and is seen as a replacement for Fahad Bayo who joined Israel based club Ashdod FC and Tito Okello recently crossed over to Gor Mahia’s.
Initially, the Kitende outfits had shown interest in pint-sized Wakiso Giants talisman Viane Sekajugo but the Purple Sharks are not willing to let go of their hot cake.
Head Coach Fred Kajoba is now contemplating on who to lead the striking line going into the 2020/2021 season. Madondo is thus sign as a possible partner for Dan Serunkuma upfront in the goal poaching department at Vipers.
The Venoms have already made four significant signings in Jamil Kaliisa (Bright Stars), Ibrahim Orit (Mbarara City), Disan Galiwango (Express FC) and David Bagoole (Busoga United).
