Police of Wobulenzi district, central Uganda is investigating a murder by shooting in which an unknown gunman shot a resident under unclear circumstances.
Reports from Savannah regional police indicate that last night, at around 2200 hours an unknown assailant attacked and gunned down a one Bisaso Jackson Katinda Bisaso aged 45 years, a resident of Tweyanze village, Katikamu Sub County in Luweero district.
According to the regional spokesperson ASP Isa Semwogerere, preliminary findings show that the assailant shot the deceased five times within his home compound and killed him instantly.
“The shooter immediately disappeared in the banana plantation,” he said
The OC station Wobulenzi, OC CID, and the Scene of crime officer (SOCCO) visited the scene of crime and recovered five cartridges which have been exhibited.
Police patrollers have taken the body to Mulago city mortuary for post-mortem as inquiries are still underway to establish the killer and the motive.
