Uganda Premier League entries Bright Stars and Busoga United Football Clubs are vying for goalkeeper Eric Dhaira’s signature, ChimpReports can reveal.
Dhaira, a little brother to former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Abbey Dhaira (deceased), is currently a free agent following his contract expiration at Katwe United.
The 23-year old shot stopper spent the 2019/2020 FUFA Big League season at the Katwe based side, before the club was relegated to the Regional League after the abrupt end of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dhaira’s footballing journey started at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and guided the team to the University Football League triumph in 2014.
The KCCA graduate also featured for Jinja based side BUL FC, Soana (now Tooro United) relegated Maroons as well as IBV based in Iceland.
The jinja based side Busoga United are however, tipped to have an upper hand in securing the goalkeeper’s services ahead of next season.
