Ugandan Defender Commits Future at Indian Club

Ugandan international Richard Kasagga has extended his stay at Indian League (I- league) outfit Aizawl Football Club for atleast one more year.

The development of Kasagga’s contract renewal with teammate Alfred Jaryan was confirmed via the club’s official Twitter handle on Tuesday evening.

Kassaga joined Aizawl FC in 2018 as a free agent on a two-year contract and has made 23 league appearances for his club.

He also played for Lyantonde FC, Kira Young, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC on the local scene.

Kasagga also had brief stints in Lebanon with Salam Zgharta Football Club playing Nine Lebanese Premier league matches and Seven Asian Football Confederation games.

He made his Uganda Cranes debut in 2013 and has since featured in the AFCON, CHAN qualifiers and the CECAFA championships. The defender also notably played in the 2016 CHAN tournament.
