Smouha SC 1-1 Tala’ea El-Gaish

Pint-sized Uganda Cranes talisman Derrick Nsibambi has finally scored his first goal of the 2019/2020 Egyptian Premier League season.

The former KCCA FC forward scored Smouha Sports Club’s only goal during their 1-1 draw with Tala’ea El-Gaish on Wednesday evening at the Cairo Military Academy stadium.

Nsibambi went off the mark in the 43rd minute before being replaced by Khalid Abdulfatah with just 18 minutes past the restart. Tala’el El-Gaish found an equalizer in stoppage thanks to Karim Tarek’s late show.

The goal was morale-boosting for the Ugandan striker who recently contracted the deadly Coronavirus disease before recovering following the 14 days of isolation.

His goal secured a vital point for Smouha SC who are now seventh on the 18-team log with 28 points garnered from 22 matches played.

Elsewhere, Uganda Cranes forward Allan Kyambadde was deployed in the right back position as his El Gouna lost 1-0 away to 10-man Al Ahly at Cairo International Stadium.

Thursday (today) sees Aucho Khalid in action for Misr El Makkasa as they play against Wadi Degla while Emmanuel Arnold Okwi’s Ittihad Alexandria plays host to Haras El Hodoud at Alexandria stadium.
