250 Ugandans and legal residents who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) have been repatriated and their flight is expected to touch down at Entebbe International Airport this Monday afternoon at 2 pm.
“The general public is hereby informed of the incoming arrival of 250 Ugandans and legal residents who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E),” the Public Diplomacy Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement reads.
This is among the many repatriation missions that have been carried out to enable Ugandans who were/ are stranded in various parts of the world due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions, to return home.
“The Emirates Airline flight departed this morning from Dubai International Airport and is expected to arrive at Entebbe International Airport this afternoon at 2:00 pm,” the statement further reads.
This group was seen off by the Immigration Attaché Mr. Amil Kabwijamu and accompanied by other Members of Staff of the Uganda Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
