Vipers Sports Club has released four players as head coach Fred Kajoba embarks on shaping the squad for the forthcoming 2020/2021 football season.

The Uganda Premier League current Champions have parted ways with four players including goalkeeper Derrick Ochan, midfielder Brian Nkuubi Semakula, plus two left backs in Dan Birikwalira and Farouk Musisi.

The departure of Musisi and Birikwalira was inevitable following the arrival of former Express FC captain Dissan Galiwango who will be vying for the same spot with Aziz Kayondo.

Goalkeeper Ochan joined Vipers SC from St Mary’s Secondary School after promotion to the senior team. He has been servicing as an understudy for goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora whose future at Kitende is also uncertain.

Midfielder Nkuubi joined Vipers SC from Kira Young in 2015 and helped the team win two league titles, Uganda Cup and Super 8 Championship.

The four players join midfielder Tom Masiko who signed a permanent contract with Wakiso Giants, Jospeh Jjanjali and Duncan Sseninde who were earlier on released by the Kitende outfit.

The four-time UPL Champions have already added four players to their armoury in Jamil Kaliisa, Galiwango Disan, David Bagoole and Ibrahim Orit.
