Ugandan midfielder Yasser Mugerwa has officially parted ways with Ethiopian Premier League side Sehul Shire Football Club.
Mugerwa terminated his employment contract with Sehul Shire FC and confirmed the development via his social media platform as he bid farewell to his club.
“Today I say goodbye to you, to a great club and of course to the amazing fans, I say goodbye with the serenity of someone who has given his all in every training session and in every game. I wouldn’t want to end this without thanking everyone, employees, teammates, staff and fans for all your support, for your trust and for making me feel at home since the first day. Thank you. MY10,″ read his farewell message.
In an exclusive interview with ChimpReports, Mugerwa attached his decision to part ways with the Ethiopian club over accumulated unpaid salary areas.
“I left the club because of unpaid salaries amounting to Five months,” Mugerwa told ChimpReports before adding that, “I faced many challenges in this lockdown but I have many clubs interested in me from Uganda, Congo, Ethiopia, and Zambia.”
Previously, Mugerwa played for Super Cubs, Nkumba University, Sports Club Victoria University and URA FC on the local scene before crossing boarders.
His overseas career boosts of clubs including Orlando Pirates (South Africa), Saint George, Fasil Kenema and Sehul Shire FC all from Ethiopia.
He is the second player to depart Ethiopia because of uncleared wages after defender Savio Kabugo Previously quit Sebeta Kenema.
