State Minister for Finance for Planning Hon David Bahati has attributed the NRM landslide victory in the just concluded village youth council elections to an innate recognition of the party’s importance by the Ugandan youths.
Minister Bahati revealed Tuesday that the ruling party had won up to 90% of the election in his own district of Kabale.
Bahati is the NRM district chairman in Kabale.
Speaking to press at Kirigime Guest House, the minister hailed the youth foe recognizing the importance of NRM Party.
“We won because the youths believe in the achievements of NRM. The youths believe NRM is taking Uganda forward which is obvious” Bahati said.
The minister was speaking at the end of the NRM party’s Regional National Executive meeting.
In the meeting, all NEC members unanimously endorsed President Yoweri Museveni as both the party’s chairman and presidential candidate in next year’s elections.
