After escaping relegation just by a whisker in the 2019/2020 Uganda Premier League season, Police Football Club’s rebuilding process has continued with massive player recruitment and contract renewals by vital players.
On Tuesday, the Cops renewed center back Joseph Sentume’s contract seeing him stay at the club for three more years.
The club captain who helped Police to finish 13th on the log last season, has expressed delight upon the confirmation and is eager to double his efforts come next campaign
“It’s a pleasure having got this opportunity. It’s a sign of trust and confidence in me by the club and I promise to double my effort compared to last season,” he noted.
He becomes the latest player to renew his contract with Police FC after midfielders Yusuf Ssozi, Johnson Odong, Mubarak Nsubuga, Edward Kiryowa, Dennis Rukundo, Bashir Kabuye and Musa Matovu.
The Cops have also added new faces to their roster in experienced midfielder Tony Mawejje, defender Hassan Mahmood, goalkeeper Tom Ikara, left back Eric Ssenjobe and Muwadda Mawejje.
