Cape Town City 3-2 Mamelodi Sundowns

Goalkeeper Dennis Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns lost more ground in this season’s title race after their 2-3 away defeat to Cape Town City at Loftus Versfeld stadium on Monday night.

This was Mamelodi Sundowns’ Fourth defeat of the 2019/2020 campaign as Cape Town stretched their winless streak to three games sinking their hopes to defend the title.

Amethyst Bradley “Surprise” Ralani scored a brace in the 15th and 54th minute while Kermit Erasmus scored other goal putting the Masandawana to the sword.

Dove Edmilso own goal and winger Keletso Makgalwa strike cut Mamelodi Sundowns’ deficit despite not picking any point on the road.

Mamelodi Sundowns remain second on the table with 46 points, six points shy of table leaders Kaizer Chiefs with six games to go.

Elsewhere in the Egyptian Premier League, striker Derrick Nsibambi came on as a second half substitute for Naser Maher as his Smouha SC fired blanks with ENPPI at Petro Sport Stadium.

In the Swedish Allsvenskun, Ronald Mukiibi Ddungu started in the right back for OFK Ostersunds during their 2-0 win against Kalmar FF at the Jamtkraft Arena.

Mukiibi was later replaced with Samuel Mensiro in the 64th minute while countrymate Isak Ssewankambo didn’t feature anywhere in the Match-day squad.
