Arua Municipality Member of Parliament Hon Ezati Kasiano Wadri has officially joined the new Alliance for National Transformation Party (ANT) headed by Rtd General Mugisha Muntu

At a function held at ANT offices in Kampala, Wadri revealed that he decided to join this new party because of its values and the trust he has in its president whom he says is a man of a clean record

He said he and Muntu had been friends since 1978 during their university days and that together they transversed the country and participated in a number of political struggles.

“I would have come with my colleagues Hon Paul Mwiru and Hon Gerald Karuhanga but as you have been reading in both social and electronic media I have been indisposed for now a month,” he said.

Wadri added that after getting back to his feet, the first thing he did was to produce his credentials before Hon Alice Alaso, ANT’s Secretary General and informed the speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Rebcecca Kadaga about joining a new political party

He went further and remarked that although many people have expressed interest to stand for Presidency, many will drop off before November.

However, he added that basing on the resilience of Muntu, he is very sure that he will complete the race

Wadri has been known to be a close friend of Hon Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and many had thought that he will join the NUP party

It should be remembered that Bobi wine’s driver Yasin Kawuma was killed in Arua during the by election which brought Wadri to Parliament

It was the same incident that led to arrest and detention of Hon Francis Zaake and Hon Kyagulanyi who were accused of accosting a presidential motorcade.
